Lindenhurst Varsity Cheerleaders Heading to Nationals

Lindy Pride will go national as the Varsity Cheerleading Squad heads to Disney World for the third year in a row.

The girls will be among 50,000 cheerleaders, coaches, parents, judges and fans who'll descend upon the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida for the two-day National High School Cheerleading Championship (NHSCC).

There are a wide range of divisions at the two-day competition for co-ed and all-girl teams from schools of varying sizes, However, the will be competing in the all-girl, supervarsity category for schools with more than 2,000 students.

This is the third year in a row the Varsity cheerleaders have qualified for the Nationals competition,” said coach Michele Corcoran.

The cheerleaders will head to Orlando, Florida for the Universal Cheerleading Association Nationals held on February 8 and 9 at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Other local teams, including nearby Babylon, will be heading to the same competition.
