Lindenhurst's Class of 2013 Graduation Set for Friday

The Lindenhurst High School Class of 2013 will say their final goodbyes to high school in the district's annual graduation ceremony this Friday evening.

The district will hold the high school graduation ceremony at the Lindenhurst Middle School Football field starting at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony is expect to last nearly two-and-a-half hours and seating will be limited.

In the event of a rain out, the district will hold the graduation ceremony on Saturday morning at the same location and starting at 9 a.m.

The district faced a rain-shortened graduation ceremony last year that upset many students and families when the salutatorian and valedictorian speeches were skipped due to an oncoming thunderstorm.

So far, the weather looks to hold during the weekend with mostly sunny skies forecast through Sunday with high temperatures near 76 degrees.
