Lindy Educator in Running for Teacher of the Month
Kristin Muscarello, a teacher at the Lindenhurst Middle School, is up for KJOY's Teacher of the Month.
A teacher has been nominated for Teacher of the Month, for the month of March.
Kristen Muscarello teaches sixth grade science inclusion, and she's one of six teachers up for the honor bestowed by Long Island's KJOY radio station in Garden City.
Lindenhurst Board of Education Member mentioned of the contest at the BOE's Community Forum at on night.

He invited residents to log onto the radio station's website to vote once a day, and noted that there's a link to the contest on the Lindenhurst Schools website.
According to the KJOY website, the winner will be rewarded for his or her excellence with two prizes. They include a $500 School Shopping Spree at BJ's Wholesale Club's newest location at The Arches Circle in Deer Park and a $100 gift card to Joseph Christopher Salon and Spa.

BOE Member Val McKenna further noted that Kristin's husband is , the coach of the Varsity Volleyball team that won the last Fall.
