Lindy Football & Cheerleading League Kicks Off 2013 Season
Annual event held at Venetians Shores Park attracts hundreds.
The Lindenhurst Football and Cheerleading League held their annual Pep Rally on Sept. 7 at Venetian Shores Park to kickoff the 2013 season.
A league record of over 500 boys and girls were on hand during the rally. The equipment and announcer's building at the park was rededicated to members of the league's family.
The Lindenhurst Varsity Cheerleaders took the field and got the crowd alive before all the Lindenhurst teams were introduced while the league cheerleaders also displayed their talents.
Local leads including Mayor Thomas Brennan, Deputy Mayor Kevin McCaffrey and Legislator Wayne Horsley also stopped by to wish the little Bulldogs luck on their season.
League officials wanted to thank Lindenhurst Community Cares and Duffy's Wing House for their support of the event.
