Middle School Raising Money for Juvenile Diabetes
Students host a Kids Walk to raise money to research juvenile diabetes.
The Lindenhurst Middle School Student Council hosted a Kids Walk for Juvenile Diabetes at the athletic field, with great assistance from the National Junior Honor Society.
The event was also supported by elementary students and community members. Under the leadership of Nancy Bracht, Patricia Natale and Debbie Gloor, students raised more than $3,000 for Juvenile Diabetes research. The district thanks all the families, students, teachers, staff and community members that made this event a success.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is the leading global organization funding “type one” diabetes research. Donations are still being accepted online at http://www2.jdrf.org/site/TR?fr_id=2046&pg=team&team_id=83780.
