Mom Says Educator Hit Her 4-Year-Old At Lindenhurst Pre-School

The mother said that no one from the school called police after the incident.

LINDENHURST, NY — A Lindenhurst mother said her 4-year-old son was struck in the face by a teacher's assistant at his pre-school, News 12 said.

The incident happened a week ago at Just Kids Early Childhood Center, located at 887 Kellum St in Lindenhurst, according to a report. The school has programs for special needs children.

The report said the child, who has special needs, was "having a difficult time transitioning between centers" and says the child "kicked and spit at the staff member," News 12 said.

It says the staff member said, "We don't spit" and hit the boy in the nose.

The mother told News 12 that the teacher's assistant was fired, but police were not notified.

Child Protective Services are now involved, and the boy's parents filed a police report earlier in the week, News 12 said.
