Person Hit, Killed By Train On Long Island: Report
A person was struck and killed by a Long Island Rail Road train early Thursday morning, according to the MTA and another report.

AMITYVILLE, NY — A person was hit and killed by a train in Amityville early Thursday morning, according to the MTA and other reports.
In a post on X, fka Twitter, MTA officials announced the incident, writing: "There are delays along the Babylon Branch due to a person being struck by a train at Amityville."
According to a report by The Daily Voice, the person was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a westbound train that was headed to the Amityville Station when the crash occurred.
