Photos: Lindenhurst Celebrates a 'Safe Halloween'

Despite a bomb threat dated for Halloween, the Lindenhurst High School's Safe Halloween event goes off without a hitch.

Words referencing a dated for Halloween were found last week at , but after heightened security protocol was put in place on Monday morning and a search prompted to pronounce the school , the event at the school went off without a hitch.

In fact, children throughout Lindenhurst gathered for the annual celebration. Sponsored and organized each year by the Student Council, the festivities provided a safe and fun environment in which children could collect treats, play games and enjoy the holiday.

Various clubs and student government organizations set up mazes and games for the younger children in different rooms at the high school. There was a dance with a DJ, a magician and skits performed by drama students. Many students enjoyed dressing up and trick-or-treating in the halls of the high school.
