Photos: Town Pumping Sand to Beaches through Pipes

Babylon Town is still working to get its beaches ready by Memorial Day.

Babylon Town's amitious goal to restore its beaches by Memorial Day after Hurricane Sandy's record-breaking storm surge pummeled them continues.

Patch reader Tony Werner sent in these Lindy Lens photos, along with other shots of the beaches in recent weeks, to provide an update about the use of pipes to get the sand out to the areas it's needed for new dunes and beach restoration.
