Bronx Almodovar: “Bed Bath and Beyond”

Michelle Greenberg Bornemann: “Bed Bath and Beyond is close enough right in South Bay. We need something different, and definitely not another drug store, or gym. Trader Joe’s would be something different. Something that will stay in business that people would go to would be great.”

aReader: “I think it's a perfect location for a Trader Joe's. They have no locations on the South Shore of Suffolk County, and years ago I was told by a manager it’d be coming to the Babylon area, but they never did. Now it’s opening a store in Westbury, but that’s not any more convenient for us. I've already made the suggestion through the website, but I'm sure if more customers do the same, we have a better chance of one coming local.

Debbie Winston, Frank Nicosia, Daniela Constantin, Krista Jones-Danseglio, Lamyae Idrissi, Patti Waite, Linda Wilson McParland, Joann Potenza Suman and megz: Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Fairway or Wild by Nature.

Donna McCorvey: “A casino.”

Mildred Perrotta: “Why not a Chuck E. Cheese or something similar? There’s plenty of parking.”

CJ Thomson: “I used to work at Let's Bounce and Party across the street, and many people would say a roller skating rink would be amazing there! It'd finally give the children and adolescents of Lindenhurst a safe and recreational activity within our town!”

Beth Allen: “A roller rink would be perfect! Although they should renovate that lot first. It's awful.”

Paul Johnsen: “Sonic would be nice there.”

Denise Botiglione: “Sonic! I think there'd be a traffic jam....The parking lot's [also] in need of some TLC for sure....Barnes and Noble is an awesome idea.”

Sylvia Rebich: “Once again Trader's Joe, Fairway or Whole Foods, if not a roller skating rink, or Barnes and Nobles, like in a city.”

Teresa Amoruso: “Everyone has great ideas, but we need to think of a place that'll target more than one age group. A Barnes and Noble would be perfect for that location, and would target ages birth through adulthood. If the establishment had a cafe inside and an open poetry night, then that would be great, as well....We have King Kullen right there. The object isn't to hurt other surrounding businesses. How many times do people actually go roller or ice skating in a year? People need book stores for colleges, reading for leisure and overall success in schools and in improving one's awareness with information….We need a business there that’ll last and be around through tough economic times.”

Frank Kirameti: “We need a Staples or an OfficeMax in the area. The fact that you have to go to Bay Shore or Massapequa is kind of ridiculous. Either there or the space would be a nice fit. I’d love a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods nearby, too, but King Kullen has been there forever and is clearly one of the better performing Kullens. We don't need to close a store that's been a part of our community for several decades!”

Michele: “I think a Barnes and Noble is a brilliant idea! This area could certainly use that!”
