Recently Deceased "Bachelor" Finalist Had Lindy Connection

Model-actress reportedly attended Lindenhurst High School in her teens.

Gia Allemand, the model-actress who was a finalist on the ABC reality television show "The Bachelor" in 2010 and passed away on Monday, was reportedly a Lindenhurst High School alumna.

According to Newsday, Allemand, whose real name was Gina Marie Allemand, was born in Howard Beach, Queens and grew up in Staten Island and on Long Island, including Lindenhurst and Manorville.

Neighbors recalled Allemand as a sweet girl who was a cheerleader for the Lindenhurst Bulldogs.

"She actually baby-sat my children," former next-door neighbor Barbara Murphy, 45, of Lindenhurst told Newsday. "She was very sweet."

The 29-year-old model reportedly died following an apparent suicide attempt, her publicist told Newsday in a statement.
