School District: LHS Student Stabbed with Pen Following Fight

Two high school students involved were taken to the hospital for treatment.

A report of a possible stabbing at earlier this morning turned out to be an altercation between two male students, according to officials.

Both were both taken to the hospital to be evaluated, officials said.

In a statement released to Lindenhurst Patch, Superintendent Richard Nathan said that the incident occurred outside on school grounds, where one of the students allegedly stabbed the other student with a pen.

School security responded, and the district called Suffolk Police, who could only say that patrol handled it and it was under patrol review. The SCPD did not have any more details at this time.

No serious injuries were reported, school officials said, and it was unclear to which hospital the students were transported.
