Summer eking out one more muggy, but sunny day before she’s ushered out the door for good. Too bad the season can’t stick around for so much longer, sans the humidity, of course!

Now, here’s what you need to know:

1. There’s a Lindenhurst Chamber of Commerce new business ribbon-cutting ceremony at Ribbon Cutting Ceremony today at (rain or shine). Food and beverages will be available, as well as t-shirts (while supplies last).

2. Pre-K registration starts at at while Pre-K orientation starts at at .

3. Today’s picture day at elementary school.

4. Senior Portraits for the Yearbook are happening September 27 and 28 in the auditorium. If you miss your appointment in the high school, please call Island Photo at 561-767-1234 to set up an appointment time at its studio in Port Washington. Deadline for inclusion in the Yearbook is October 7.

5. The Lindenhurst Council of PTAs meeting at at

6. There’s a Ladies’ Auxiliary Meeting at the Knights of Columbus-OLPH Council #794 at 8 p.m.

7. Pasta night and 300 Club at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1421 runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight.

8. There are several events happening at the , including the month-long , the continuation of the nominations and the continuation of the Lindenhurst Kiwanis Club-sponsored submissions.
