Snow on the Way for Lindenhurst on Saturday
Accumulations expected to be from one to four inches, according to local forecasts.
Enjoy the cold sunshine while it lasts. The third of the is expected to arrive overnight into Saturday, according to weather forecasts for Lindenhurst and the surrounding area on Friday.
While Wednesday night's snow only coated the community with a dusting that's all but melted away, the snow that's expected to arrive late Friday night into Saturday is expected to be slightly more than that.
But exactly how much depends on the forecast - though all do point to snow acculumations anywhere from one to four inches.

Weather.com is predicting about an inch of the white stuff. News12 is forecasting one inch of snow by morning, with accumlumations expected to be between two and four inches.
The 7Online forecast is expecting a mix of rain and snow to start after midnight, changing to all snow to fall in Lindy by 7 a.m., with accumulations between of one to three inches.

The National Weather Service forecast is calling for one to two inches of snow.
"This low will bring a period of Wintry weather through Saturday," said the NWS in its online forecast posted on Friday afternoon for Lindenhurst, Long Island and the tri-state area.
"The New York City Metropolitan Area and coastal sections could begin with plain rain or a mix of rain or snow tonight (Friday). Otherwise precipitation will be all snow, with light to moderate accumulations expected," the forecast continued.
The temperatures are expected to stay Wintry and cold, and well below average, according to the NWS. On Monday temperatures are predicted to be near average, with above-average temps arriving once again by mid-week, noted the NWS.
The NWS has also indicated on Friday faternoon that there's a gale watch in effect for Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning.
