Suffolk DA: Pair of Burglars from Lindenhurst Sentenced

The purported burglars, Ryan O'Malley and Nicole Oliva, were linked to multiple burglaries in the First Precinct, according to the SCDA's office.

A pair of alleged burglars from Lindenhurst arrested in November by Suffolk Police in North Babylon were sentenced this week.

, 22, who police linked to multiple burglaries in the First Precinct, was sentenced by Judge Gary Weber in Riverhead to five years in prison for five burglaries, according to the office of Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota.

SCDA spokeperson Robert Clifford said the DA's office had requested a sentence of 10 years for O’Malley.

He was arrested with his alleged accomplice, on at the Deer Park Motor Inn. Both suspects were initially charged with burglary, said the DA's office.

O’Malley's co-defendant Oliva pled guilty to five burglaries and one count of criminal possession of a weapon, and she was sentenced by Judge Weber to three and one-half years in prison, said Clifford, who added that the DA had requested a seven-year sentence for Oliva.
