Teen Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Crashing Into Pole On LI: Police
A teenager was critically injured after crashing into a utility pole on Long Island early Thursday morning, Suffolk County police say.
LINDENHURST, NY — A motorcycle crash critically injured a teenager in Lindenhurst early Thursday morning, according to Suffolk County police.
Salvatore Costa, 15, of Lindenhurst, was riding a 2015 Suzuki motorcycle in front of 149 East John St. when he lost control of the motorcycle and struck a pole around 1:30 a.m., police said.
Costa was transported by Lindenhurst Rescue to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip in critical condition, police said.

The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check, police said.
