Teenager Seriously Injured in Car Collision on Hoffman Avenue
A teenage Lindenhurst resident was seriously injured in a collision with a car on Hoffman Avenue on June 19, according to Suffolk County Police.
Police told Patch that Joseph Calabrese, 16, of Lindenhurst was traveling southbound on his bicycle at 4:47 p.m. on Wellwood Avenue when he struck a 2010 Volkswagen Routan heading westbound on Hoffman Avenue.
Child Dies After Being Found in N. Lindenhurst Pool
A six-year old boy passed away after drowning in a family pool in North Lindenhurst on July 23.
Suffolk County Police said a grandmother found her six-year old grandson in the family pool at her home at 90 Bedell Street at around 5 p.m. Monday.
Hurricane Grill & Wings Headed to Lindenhurst
Lindenhurst will be the home to the newest Hurricane Grill & Wings when it opens later this year at the former Cattleman's Grill on Montauk Highway.

State Seizes Duffy’s Ale House for Not Paying Taxes
The New York State Department of Taxation and Finance seized Duffy’s Ale House, a popular Lindenhurst restaurant, on Wednesday afternoon for non-payment of taxes, closing the eatery down to the public.
By late afternoon, bright orange signs that read “SEIZED” in bright orange along with two other documents from the Department of Taxation, hung on the doors.
Police: Man Stabbed on N. Wellwood Avenue
A man was stabbed multiple times on North Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst near the Brewhaus Pub and Nick's Smoke Shop on early Monday morning, police said.
According to the Suffolk County Police Department, Lindenhurst residents Dale Campiglia, 47, and Robert St. John, 25, were involved in an altercation in the street in front of 111 North Wellwood Avenue when Campiglia reportedly stabbed St. John multiple times.
