There’s Still More to Do in Lindenhurst This Summer

This column focuses on everything you can do in Lindenhurst and gives you what you need to know for the day. This time it’s focusing on what’s left to do this in Lindenhurst.

Riffing off a Twitter , #OvertheSummer, here’s a short list of where to go, what to see and what to do in and around town so your post-Labor Day conversations could be even more interesting:

2. If you’re still craving some live tunes, then there are a few concerts left in the and schedules. will perform at the LML at 7 p.m. and will take the stage on at 7 p.m. The next at is set for August 19. will take the stage at

3. BACCA’s ninth annual will take place August 20 at Tanner Park. It’s scheduled to start at

4. Calling all car buffs: head to every Tuesday and Thursday night and every Saturday night, from 5 p.m. till sunset, to see antique autos, street rods and muscle cars – and hear some live music, too. (Hmm…seems to be a theme developing here.)

6. Seeking something zen? Try the on Saturday nights at . It starts at approximately 7:30 p.m. on the beach, and runs through August 27.

7. Want something more “outdoor-sy?” There’s the annual on August 27 at the marina (docks) put on by the Lindenhurst Rotary Club.

8. Last, but not least, there’s the annual town , complete with fireworks. It starts at 3 p.m. on August 27 at Overlook Beach.
