Two Brothers from Lindenhurst Make Eagle Scout

Michael and John Rinaldi receive honor in Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony at the VFW on North Delaware Avenue in Lindenhurst.

Two students - who are also brothers - recently received Eagle Scout status for their many years of dedication and faithful service.

Michael and John Rinaldi were awarded the the Eagle Scout Court of Honor in a ceremony held on January 31 at following the completion of their service projects, according to a press release from the Town of Babylon about the recognition.

In addition to family and friends, Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Town Councilman Tony Martinez, LHS Principal Dan Giordano, Suffolk County Legislator , New York State Assemblyman , Lindenhurst Village , Village Trustee and Village Trustee were also on hand to congratulate the brothers on this achievement.

This isn't the only honor the Rinaldi brothers have received recently.They recently qualified for the by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of three or higher on four or more of these exams.

The duo are part of the scholar team that on MSG Varsity's The Challenge, the academically focused TV show that airs on Cablevision’s iO TV Channel 14. on .

The team against Riverhead's McGann-Mercy High School by a score of 290 to 285, and advanced to the second round. The team will take on on March 8. That second round match-up will be taped that day, and the show will air April 9, according to The Challenge officials.
