Watch Lindenhurst Students on 'The Challenge'
LHS students take on Northport High School on April 9 in the second round of the academically focused TV quiz show, now in its 15th season.
Five students will take on students from on The Challenge tonight at 6:30 p.m. on Cablevision’s iO TV Channel 14.
Michael Rinaldi, John Rinaldi (captain), Danielle Vozzo and Emily Crichton make up the team that'll take on Northport in a second-round matchup of the the academically focused TV show that airs on MSG Varsity.
The team - which is advised by teachers Catherine Katsionis and Veronica Bruno and also includes Allison Perna as the alternate - its against Riverhead's McGann-Mercy High School back on .

The students and their teacher-advisors headed into New York City on to the second-round matchup set to air tonight.
LHS is one of 192 high schools to compete for the title of Tri-State Champion on the MSG Varsity show, now in its 15th season, and is one of 32 schools from Suffolk County represented on the show this season.

Participating schools advance through a series of elimination rounds, with one school in each region being crowned regional champion and winning $2,500 for their school.
The winning teams from each region go on to The Challenge Championship where they'll square off in a Tri-State Showdown.
The school awarded the title of Tri-State Champion will receive $10,000 in prize money, and each participating student in the final Challenge Championship game will receive $500.
Competing student teams are tested on their knowledge of history, arts and literature, current events, math and science in front of a live studio audience.
“We got off to a great start with so many close games in the first round, and we expect the competition to heat up as we head towards the Championship rounds,” said Theresa Chillianis, MSG Varsity’s General Manager.
“We love the support displayed by the schools and communities as they vie for the Tri-State Championship,” she added.
The show is hosted by Jared Cotter, back for his third season. Cotter, a popular semi-finalist from American Idol, also hosts MSG Varsity’s Talent Show.
