AMITYVILLE, NY—Paul Parisi, of Massapequa Park, was only 23 years old when he bought Blue T Pizza in Amityville two years ago. Now he's rebranded the location at 183 Merrick Rd. as Parisi's Pizza & Pasta, and the pizzeria will have a grand opening this Friday.

Parisi tells Patch that opening a pizzeria was his lifelong dream.

"After two successful years, I am now accomplishing another dream, bringing the name Parisi and all of the Parisi family values to the Long Island community. The Parisi family has deep roots connected to Italy," he explained.

Parisi says the space will have an "old-school Italian vibe."

"I was sold on the location because living here my whole life, I love the people, love the community and I wanted to bring a restaurant to Long Island where everyone who steps in feels like family from the moment they enter."
