72-Year-Old Pedestrian Hospitalized After North Long Beach Crash: Police
The man was crossing Austin Boulevard at the time of the crash, police say.
NORTH LONG BEACH, NY. —A 72-year-old pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck Sunday night in North Long Beach, police said.
According to Nassau County police, the man was crossing Austin Boulevard near the intersection with Long Beach Road, just after 8 p.m.
While he was crossing the street, a northbound 2015 Nissan struck him, causing serious injuries, police said. The 31-year-old man driving the Nissan remained at the scene, and police did not report any arrests or charges as a result of the crash.

The 72-year-old was in stable condition early Monday morning, police said.
