All in a BOOK!

Lisa L. Cangemi is a South Shore resident. Cangemi has been envolved with the arts for ALL of her life! A graduate of The School of Visual Arts, she has had her graphic design business since 1985. Cangemi has also been an adjunct college professor at various New York colleges and universities, teaching both 2-D design, art history, painting, drawing, graphic design, typography courses, Adobe program courses for design and illustration and more! Cangemi's extensive art background has enabled her to continue to educate and HELP people learn about art, and HOW TO CREATE by getting to know oneself, and use what is in your brain! WOW!

Through the past almost four decades, many of her art work pieces have been sold to people around the United States, and the New York metropolitan area!

In an interview recently, Cangemi was asked 'Why do Books?' Cangemi responded easily and quickly; "I can easily design books (as part of my profession), and featuring the works I have is for the many hundreds of people who have met me, or have known me that thought about purchasing my work, and maybe didn't have room on the wall for it, or couldn't pay for it, I made this a beautiful collection for anyone who may like to have this collection.'

Cangemi currently continues working with a variety of students (ages five and older!). Cangemi teaches classes from her Long Beach home/studio, some students at their homes, as well as working with Assisted Living residents and Rehabilitation/Nursing residents in several south shore locations.

Several local Long Island students who were asked recently gave a comment about Cangemi; "She is so very patient with people, and takes the time to listen and demonstrate." "Cangemi is a warm-hearted person who demonstrates art well, and LOVES what she does— it surely shows!"

Cangemi's love of creation reflects on herself being 'DIFFERENT than anything else'

Cangemi's innate feeling of 'being different' has lead her to have been an award-winner of over four dozen fine-art awards, as well as over five dozen graphic design awards for art direction/creation/design and over two dozen professional photography awards.

Cangemi was also featured in 2007 and 2008 by Alpha Beta Kapa Society as one of the TOP 10 instructors teaching classes relating to their real-life work!
