The office of Immigration &amp; Refugee Services is recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice to counsel, process, file, and represent clients before the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and EOIR Immigration Court. Our organization provides essential support to Ukrainian Humanitarian parolees through the Ukraine Supplemental Appropriation to Resettlement Agencies (USARA) Program. Through USARA, we help individuals and families achieve stability, economic independence, and successful integration into the community. We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. Our staff offers a wide range of social and employment services, including: • Development of a personalized self-sufficiency plan • Case management and referrals • Employment services, job search skills, and work experience opportunities • Outreach and community support • Social and cultural adjustment assistance • English language support • Help with school, benefits, and local resource navigation • Transitional services and employment retention support We serve Ukrainian citizens paroled into the U.S., as well as non-Ukrainians who resided in Ukraine and were paroled into the U.S. between February 24, 2022 and September 30, 2024. Rooted in compassion and dignity, Catholic Charities of Long Island is committed to helping newcomers rebuild their lives and feel safe, supported, and empowered within their new community.

It's already April 1. We're not fooling you. So you can be sure that the events listed below are not some kind of joke. They truly are happening in Long Beach this Friday: 1. The Long Beach chapter of AARP will hold their monthly meeting at the Magnolia Senior Center at 1:30 p.m.  2. Long Beach boys' lacrosse takes on Massapequa at the Middle School starting at 4:15 p.m. 3. Get taken back to the 1970s club scene when Sutton Place hosts a disco party starting at 10 p.m. 4. Friday nights at the Allegria Hotel mean "Ladies Night" starting at 9 p.m. Specials include $6 drinks and DJ music for the night. 5. Coming up later today on <a href="https://www.longbeachpatch.com" rel="nofollow">Patch</a>: We'll have a story about a Long Beach man turned his front lawn into a garden. And in case you missed it, yesterday we ran a story about the census numbers for Long Beach and how officials and others are interpreting them.
