April 4: Artist Exhibit, Big Game Party, Old Testament Lecture

1. Basketball fans looking to catch the NCAA Men’s basketball championship game can head to Swingbellys on West Beech Street for a big game party starting at 9 p.m. The barbeque establishment will serve all-you-can-eat wings and $10 pitchers.

2. Local artist Kathleen Regan has a solo exhibit entitled "Paintings that Soothe the Soul" at the Long Beach Library’s West End branch on West Beech Street until June 30. This exhibit features 28 paintings that range from seascapes to reflections of the soul.

3. Temple Emanu-El on Neptune Boulevard will hold a rabbi's class at 8 p.m. This lecture will focus on teachings of the Old Testament.

4. Patch learned that the city is searching for alternative sites for their summer programs after local school buildings locked them out. We'll have the details later today. We’ll also post a feature on local bird watchers and how they got interested in their hobby.
