April 6: Caregivers Meet, Albert Holds 'Cerealism' Workshop,

Here’s what you need to know about Long Beach at mid-week:
1. The Long Beach Public Library, in conjunction with the Nassau County Department of Senior Citizen Affairs, presents a caregivers support group at 9:30 a.m. This group offers caregivers a place to share ideas and solutions, as well as interact with peer support.
2. Later at the library, the Long Beach Art League will host a workshop with artist Michael Albert, who is known for his "cerealism" art that constructs out of cereal and other food boxes. Participants are asked to bring flat boxes at this workshop that starts at 4 p.m. Albert will also present his work at 7:30 p.m. This event is free for both adults and children.

3. The Long Beach Environmental Board will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
4. Temple Emanu-El will hold a financial committee meeting at 7:30 p.m.
