Expect Delays, Detours From Overnight Repairs On Meadowbrook Parkway

The repaving project between Bay Parkway and Merrick Road is expected to take up to three weeks to complete.

LIDO BEACH, NY — Drivers should plan for overnight road work beginning Monday on the Meadowbrook Parkway between Bay Parkway and Merrick Road.

Paving resurfacing is scheduled from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Monday and lasting for approximately three weeks, the state Department of Transportation said.

Traffic from Loop Parkway will get detoured onto southbound Meadowbrook Parkway and will continue eastbound Ocean Parkway to the northbound Wantagh Parkway.

Additionally, vehicles from Ocean Parkway and Bay Parkway will get directed to the northbound Wantagh Parkway.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
