Gillen Leads D'Esposito By 12 Points For 4th CD Seat: Poll
Despite the poll results, "this race is going to be a nail-biter," Gillen's campaign manager said.
NASSAU COUNTY, NY — It's been anticipated that incumbent Anthony D'Esposito and Laura Gillen will be locked in a tight race for Congress. However, a new poll by Newsday and Siena College paints a different picture.
Gillen, the former Hempstead Supervisor, has a 12-point lead over the Republican, the poll indicates.
"This race is going to be a nail-biter and we need everyone who has been supporting Laura to keep fighting," Sarah Carlson, Gillen's campaign manager, told Patch. "We are so grateful for the hardworking volunteers who have been knocking doors and making phone calls, congressional leaders who believe in this campaign, and everyone who has been working so hard to send Laura to Congress."
