In His Pursuit of Happiness—He's Persistent

We all try to find happiness any way we can. Sometimes it's a simple thing, but rules get in the way.

I see so many of you on the beach, on the boards, having the time of your lives: surfing, swimming, jogging, or tanning, sitting and reading,

Many of you like to bike. Me too.

However, some of us struggle to find happiness due to physical limitations. Some are wheelchair bound and must rely on someone to push them. Or they have mobility scooters to get them out and on the go. Whatever works, go for it.

I came upon a retired man who was limited to just walking our boardwalk. Because he couldn’t get further than four blocks walking, he was disappointed. There was so much more to see that he couldn’t get to.

Then, he found a way to get around much better. He can now see our entire 2.1-mile boardwalk. He says it’s wonderful. He said, "Our boardwalk is like a painting every day.”

Yes, he's happy as a clam.

But—he’s afraid of the police.
