Hundreds Hunt for the Golden Egg
Recreation Department Celebrates 50th annual Easter Egg Hunt.
More than 500 bunnies braved the cold and wind at the Long Beach Recreation Center's fields for the department's 50th Annual Egg Hunt last Saturday.
With parents, grandparents and friends cheering the children on as they took to the fields to find pastel eggs filled with jellybeans, as well as prize-winning eggs. Hunters who found those eggs received Easter baskets filled with candy and gifts. Other eggs had stuffed lambs, dogs and rabbits, and since this was the Rec’s golden anniversary egg hunt, there was a single golden egg for each age group that took to the fields on April 16.
