Leaky Propane Tank Sends Firefighters To Stop & Shop Parking Lot: FD

The incident happened at noon on Friday.

LONG BEACH, NY — The Long Beach Fire Department responded for a leaking propane tank on Friday afternoon in the Stop & Shop parking lot on East Park Avenue.

It was determined that the tank was leaking on the underside of a dog grooming vehicle. All of the propane and the tank was empty, the department said.

The Office of the Fire Marshal's Hazardous Materials Division assisted on scene, the Long Beach Fire Department posted to Facebook.
