Lido Beach Fire Leaves 2 Adults Without Home: Fire Marshal
The fire broke out just before 2 p.m. Sunday, the Nassau County Fire Marshal's office says.
LIDO BEACH, NY. — 2 adults were displaced Sunday after a fire at their Biarritz Street residence, fire officials said.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal’s office said a fire broke out at 1:59 p.m. Sunday, with the Point Lookout-Lido Fire Department responding to the scene and receiving assistance from the Island Park, Long Beach and Freeport departments. The total response amounted to 50 firefighters, officials said.
The two residents of the home self evacuated and were unharmed, fire officials said, and no injuries were reported among the fire personnel.

The fire was under control in 20 minutes and its cause is being investigated by the fire marshal’s investigators and the NCPD arson/bomb detectives, the fire marshal’s office said. The Town of Hempstead’s building department is investigating damage to the house, the fire marshal’s office said, calling the damage “moderate.”
