Long Beach Hosts Weekend Surfing Contest For Kids

It takes place on Sunday morning at the Riverside Boulevard beach.

LONG BEACH, NY — It's time to hit the waves. The City of Long Beach in cooperation with Skudin Surf is hosting The King & Queen of the Beach Kids Surf Contest.

It takes place on Sunday at the Riverside Boulevard beach.

Surfers aged 17 and younger are eligible to compete for the trophies.

Early registration of $25 ends on Thursday at the Recreation Center. It's $30 on the day of the event. Sunday registration begins at 8 a.m. with the contest starting at 9:30 a.m.

All registrants will receive a t-shirt.

Awards will be given to multiple age groups, including the Top 3 boys and girls surfers aged 8 and under.
