Man Dies After Crashing Into Parked Vehicle In Long Beach: PD
He was driving a City of Long Beach vehicle when he crashed, police say.
LONG BEACH, NY — A man died after crashing into a parked vehicle in Long Beach on Friday, police said.
According to Nassau County police, the homicide squad is investigating the crash, which took place at 8:39 p.m.
A man, 72, was driving a City of Long Beach vehicle, a 2019 Dodge, eastbound on West Park Avenue when he crashed into the rear of a legally parked 2018 Nissan on the right hand shoulder, which was occupied by a woman, 45, police said.

The woman was transported to an area hospital for minor injuries; the man was transported to an area hospital and was pronounced dead by hospital staff, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
