Thursday brings cloudy skies with light rain and temperatures reaching in the mid-40s. Here’s what else you need to know today;
1. While it’s opening day at Yankee Stadium, Patch will post a preview of the Long Beach High School baseball team. That, and a report on 2010 Census for Long Beach will be coming up later today.
2. The Allegria Hotel hosts a "Jazz and Sushi" event every Thursday from 7 to 11 p.m. You can indulge the all-you-can-eat sushi bar for $25. Drink specials are $6 all night.

3. St. Patrick’s Day has come and gone but the spirit of the day lives on at the Long Beach Library when cantor Don Goldberg and other Celtic singers perform Irish opera and songs starting at 2 p.m.
