Nassau House Fire Brings Out Multiple Departments To Battle Blaze: FD
There were no injuries reported in the Monday night fire.

LONG BEACH, NY — A home in Long Beach went on fire Monday night, the Long Beach Fire Department said.
Just before 9 p.m., firefighters arrived at the home on East Walnut Street. It was determined that the fire started in the first floor laundry room before it spread to the second floor and the attic, the Long Beach Fire Department wrote on Facebook.
There were no injuries from the blaze, which was brought under control by 10 p.m., the department said.

One cat was rescued by firefighters.
Although the fire was not deemed suspicious, the cause is under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal and the Nassau County Police Arson/Bomb Squad, the Long Beach Fire Department said.

Fire departments from Point Lookout, Oceanside, Island Park Volunteer, Baldwin, Rockville Centre, Lynbrook and Atlantic Beach assisted.
