Nassau Woman Drove Drunk With 6 Kids In Car: Police
The woman was charged with six felony counts of driving while intoxicated, according to Nassau police.

ISLAND PARK — A 52-year-old woman was charged with six felony counts of driving while intoxicated after Nassau police said she drove drunk with six children in her car Wednesday night in Island Park.
Theresa Viola was driving a 2015 Kia Sedona east on Delaware Avenue when she was pulled over on Ostend Avenue, police said.
Viola, of Island Park, had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and smelled of alcohol, police said.

Inside Viola's car were two boys, ages 11 and 14, and four girls, two 12-year-olds and two 13-year-olds, police said. The children were released into the custody of a family member at scene.
Viola was arrested and charged with six counts of aggravated DWI, six counts of endangering the welfare of a child and DWI with a previous conviction. She will be arraigned Friday in Mineola.
