Nassau's CE Bruce Blakeman Continues With Governor Tour: Report
The tour is the latest in a series of events attended by the county executive as he explores a run for governor.
BINGHAMTON, NY. — Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman made the latest stop in his statewide tour to explore a run for governor Thursday, WBNG reported.
Blakeman’s consideration of a governor run comes on the heels of back-to-back wins in the Nassau County Executive race, the latest over County Legislator Seth Koslow just weeks ago.
Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has already announced her candidacy.

Blakeman spoke to upstate residents at a Binghampton diner, WBNG said.
While multiple reports have said Stefanik is the frontrunner for the GOP nomination thus far, WBNG quoted Blakeman as calling himself, “the most electable Republican in the state of New York.”

Blakeman cited ending cashless bail, cutting crime and increasing economic development as priorities in his Thursday engagement, WBNG siad.
As for the woman Blakeman and Stefanik hope to unseat, Gov. Kathy Hochul brushed off questions about Blakeman’s candidacy Thursday, News 12 reported, referring to potential Republican candidates as, “Trump cheerleaders.”
