Nor' easter Fun Feast

Fun, we need more of it these days. Remember when you played with friends in your backyard?. Not a care in the world?

Our Long Beach sand is a huge play area. Among other things, we can play volleyball, catch, toss a frisbee, do yoga, swim, or surf.

I saw us playing together this week. And it was a fun sight. People were surfing in the nor’easter waves. I took many photos, and when I looked closely, I could see many of them smiling as they rode the slopes.

Smiling, like one does when one is focused on the present moment in joy. Do you think that’s good for you, to be in that moment? Do you think it can carry through the day? Through many days?

The people of Long Beach, Long Island, and even farther came to our shore for the waves this week.

They weren’t Republicans or Democrats; they were just fun seekers having fun together. Maybe we need to do more of that. Have more fun together.
