Power Outage Impacts Part Of Long Beach

LONG BEACH, NY — A power outage impacted a large swath of Long Beach on Tuesday.

Caution was urged for drivers as a number of traffic lights were not working, the city posted to Facebook on Tuesday morning.

A downed wire on Riverside Boulevard near East Pine Street affected up to 5,000 customers, PSEG Long Island said.

Approximately, 4,350 customers got their power back within three minutes. The power company said that the remaining customers had power restored shortly after noon as the crews put the wire back up.
