Production Co.: Bridge Filming Involves Gun Shots, Car Collisions
Woodridge Productions writes letter to residents and business owners about this weekend's shoot.

NBC will film an action-adventure show entitled "The Blacklist" on the northbound side of the Long Beach Bridge this weekend, starting at 5 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 through 11 p.m. Sunday, March 24, requiring the closure of several lanes on the bridge.
The following is a letter from the production company, Woodridge Productions, about this weekend's filming:
Dear Residents & Business Owners,
Woodridge Productions, Inc. is currently in production of the pilot for an upcoming NBC Television series called “The Blacklist.” The story is about a young FBI agent who is thrust into an assignment with an anti-terrorism unit.
ON SATURDAY, MATCH 23RD AND SUNDAY, MARCH 24TH WE WILL BE FILMING ON THE NORTHBOUND SIDE OF THE LONG BEACH BRIDGE. BEGINNING IN THE EARLY MORNING OF SATURDAY, MARCH 23RD, THE NORTHBOUND SIDE OF THE BRIDGE WILL BE CLOSED AND TRAFFIC WILL RUN IN BOTH DIRECTIONS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BRIDGE.
ALL OTHER ROADWAYS WILL BE OPEN TO TRAFFIC AND TRAFFIC MOVEMENT WILL BE SUPERVISED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT UNTIL OUR WORK IS COMPLETED ON SUNDAY NIGHT. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET TO ALL LOCAL BUSINESSES AND RESIDENCES DURING THIS TIME.
OUR FILMING INVOLVES ACTION-BASED SCENES THAT WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ELEMENTS AND SPECIAL EFFECTS: A VIOLENT CAR COLLISION, ACTORS WITH MASKS, GUNS AND GUN SHOTS BEING FIRED, EXPLOSIONS WITH FIRE AND SMOKE, AND ACTORS REPELLING OFF THE BRIDGE.
PLEASE DO NOT BE ALARMED BY THE THINGS THAT YOU MAY SEE OR HEAR COMING FROM THE BRIDGE. THESE ARE JUST ELEMENTS OF OUR SCENES, NOT REAL EVENTS, AND ALL OUR ACTIVITIES WILL BE MONITORED BY THE APPROPRIATE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS.
We are working with the permission of Nassau County, the City of Long Beach, the Village of Island Park as well as both the County and Long Beach Police Departments. In addition, we will have officers from other agencies such as the Fire Department and Police Marine Unit on site supervising our activities.
