Summer Flirts With Long Beach

As temperatures climbed into the upper 70s in Long Beach Tuesday, everyone from sunbathers to windsurfers hit the shore to enjoy the summer-like weather.

Along the beach behind them, materials to rebuild the city’s 2.2-mile boardwalk, which suffered substantial damages in Hurricane Sandy, have begun to appear.

Meanwhile, isolated thunderstorms are forecast the beach town Tuesday evening as Memorial Day weekend nears.
