A Whale of a Day
Do you have spare time on the weekend for a different kind of fun? If not, find some.

We Long Beach shore denizens have much to be grateful for: boardwalk orchestra seating for the greatest show on Long Island —the spring birth of oystercatchers, soaring ospreys, bounding dolphins, and breaching whales. Among many other joys.
What could be better?
Well, maybe not better, but a different kind of fun is happening on a weekend whale-watch boat.

Sure, many of you have done so, but Cheryl and I have never been on a whale watch boat till this past weekend. It was novel to us and fun.
The ride itself is a pleasure, and if you're into photography, it’s even better.

Some of us could use a little company in our lives, too. So, it’s a good place to meet people of like mind, people who love sea life, whether airborne or lunging from the sea.
Even if you don’t get to see many whales or none, it’s still a good change from TV, iPhones, and tablets to entertain us.
Human interaction, face-to-face—what a great idea! Maybe it will catch on.
Check out One Whale of a Day.
Be well,
