Woman, 77, Died From Injuries After Being Struck By Pickup Truck In Long Beach On Monday: Police
Nassau police said on Thursday that she succumbed to her injuries.
LONG BEACH, NY — The woman who was struck by a pickup truck in Long Beach on Monday has dies from her injuries, Nassau County police said.
Mary Traynor, 77, of Long Beach was pronounced dead by a hospital physician, according to police.
She was struck around 10:30 a.m. by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 49-year-old man eastbound on East Chester Street when he made a right turn onto Pacific Boulevard and Traynor suffered serious body trauma, police said.

She was taken by a Senior Care Ambulance to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition after the crash, according to police.
The driver remained at the scene, and no charges were filed, police said.
