LOWER EAST SIDE, NY - Two men were stabbed, one fatally, inside a Lower East Side park in Manhattan Thursday night, authorities said.

The stabbing took place about 8:32 p.m. near Hester and Chrystie streets inside the Sara D. Roosevelt Park, police said.

One man, whose age has not yet been released, was stabbed in the chest. A 24-year-old man was stabbed in the torso, police said.

Medics rushed the men to NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue where the 24-year-old male was listed in stable condition. The other man was pronounced dead later that night.

The 24-year-old is expected to survive, police said.

The stabbing appeared to happen at or near a homeless camp, ABC7 reported. Four suspects are sought in connection with the deadly incident.

No arrests have been made as of Friday morning. The investigation remains ongoing.
