Bob's Burgers Fan Art Exhibit Gets 'Overwhelming' Response
This traveling exhibit at Spoke Art on Rivington Street is hotter than Jimmy Jr.'s butt.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — In the words of Tina Belcher, it's "time for a charm bomb to explode." In this case, the "charm bomb" is a collection of clever fan art about the TV show "Bob's Burgers," and the "explosion" is the exhibit that's being shown in the Lower East Side until Oct. 16.
Spoke Art, a gallery space at 210 Rivington St., is hosting a traveling exhibit this month that features dozens of artists' interpretations of and dedications to the show. "Bob's Burgers" is a renowned cartoon show on FOX that follows a slightly dysfunctional family of a couple, Bob and Linda, and their two daughters, Tina and Louise, and son, Gene. Bob owns a burger restaurant he's extremely proud of and often enlists his family to work for him. The show is known for its endearing quirkiness and clever dialogue. Through the seven seasons the show has been on the air, it has amassed a cult following.
Spoke Art's exhibit features original painting and sculpture and limited-edition prints from all over the world. Spoke Art gallery director Jessica Ross worked with the owner of Spoke Art, Ken Harman, to put the exhibit together, she told Patch.

"We're both huge fans of the show and can't get enough of the Belcher family!" she said.
Ross said the response from New Yorkers has been "overwhelming."

"We had an amazing opening night with hundreds of locals coming out for the event and a consistent flow of patrons in and out of the gallery all week long," she told Patch. "We couldn't be happier with the turnout we've had so far."
Bob's Burgers the exhibit is on view from Sept. 42-Oct. 16. Spoke Art NYC is open Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. All ages are welcome, and there's no cover to get in.
