Here are the top stories in Lower East Side-Chinatown today:

  1. Police are searching for four female suspects who allegedly stabbed a 14-year-old girl in the thigh, and pepper-sprayed a 20-year-old woman after an argument in Lower Manhattan. The victims were by Bowling Green Park at about 9:40 p.m. on Saturday when they encountered the four suspects. The suspects fled into the Bowling Green subway station, and the NYPD released surveillance footage. (NBC New York)
  2. Police have identified the suspect wanted for a March 27 sexual assault along the Hudson River Greenway. Carl Phanor, 28, attacked the 39-year-old victim in the early morning as she jogged near West and Clarkson streets. The suspect last resided in a Lower East Side homeless shelter. (Patch)
  3. The next construction phase of Essex Crossing has begun and will see the replacement of the Essex Street Market building north of Delancey. Delancey Street Associates have filed applications for a 9-story mixed-use development with approximately 76 units. There have been no demolition permits filed. (Bowery Boogie)
