Brooklyn Bridge Jumper In Critical Condition After Landing On Roadway
A man is in critical condition after he jumped from the pedestrian walkway onto the roadway of the Brooklyn Bridge, police said.
BROOKLYN BRIDGE, NY — A man who jumped onto the roadway of the Brooklyn Bridge on Thursday was critically injured, police said.
The man, who has not been identified, is believed to have jumped from the bridge's pedestrian path onto the Brooklyn-bound side of the roadway, an NYPD spokesman said. Police responded at about 2:20 p.m. on Thursday and transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition, authorities said.
