Date Set For Anthony Bourdain's LES 'Parts Unknown' Episode
The episode takes Bourdain to a handful of classic Lower East Side and East Village eateries, according to CNN.

LOWER EAST SIDE, NY — The final season of late chef Anthony Bourdain's documentary series "Parts Unknown" will run from Sept. 23 to Nov. 11 — including a special extended episode set in the Lower East Side.
The show's 12th and final season was in production when Bourdain died on location in France on June 8. The premiere episode, set in Kenya, will run on Sept. 23 followed by the remaining four on consecutive Sundays through Nov. 11, with the exception of Nov. 4 for CNN's pre-midterm election coverage, CNN announced Thursday.
Only the season's premier had finished filming and went through the production process before Bourdain's death. It will feature Bourdain's signature narration while the other four episodes — shot in Spain, Indonesia, West Texas and the Lower East Side — were produced using audio recorded of Bourdain as he filmed on location.

The extended Lower East Side episode visits sweets staple Ray's Candy Store, the iconic Ukrainian diner Veselka, Italian spot John's of 12th Street and art bar Max Fish. Bourdain also worked rock stars into the mix and will sit down for a meal with Debbie Harry and Chris Stein of rock group Blondie at Italian restaurant Emilio's Ballato.
Other titans of the city's art and music scenes will guest star in the episode including artist Joe Coleman, punk rock music executive Danny Fields and hip-hop king Fab Five Freddy.

The season includes two episodes with behind-the-scenes footage, outtakes and interviews from cast and crew.
One episode "explores how Anthony Bourdain’s unique perspective and voice altered the world of food, travel and culture and in the process reinvented how audiences watched television and engaged intimately and actively with the world around them," according to CNN. The second special will delve into Bourdain's relationship with his crew.
