🌱 Delancey Footbridge Gone + MTA Worker Attacked At Canal Street

Here are the top stories today in Lower East Side-Chinatown:

  1. The Delancey Street footbridge to East River Park has been officially excised from the Lower East Side. The work on removing the bridge began in early February. The project, which was supposed to take four weeks with night hours, took approximately double that amount of time. (Bowery Boogie)
  2. An MTA subway conductor was struck in the face with a rubber object on Sunday at the Canal Street station. Police said that an unknown suspect threw the object at the MTA worker as the doors to the Q train opened. The conductor suffered no visible injuries but went to a local hospital for a checkup. (ABC 7 NY)
